ABERROMETRY FOR LASIK SCREENING

Aberrometry measures the way a wavefront of light passes through the cornea and the crystalline lens, which are the refractive (light focusing) components of the eye. It diagnoses both lower- and higher-order vision errors represented by the way the eye refracts or focuses light.

AUTOMATED PERIMETRY

It uses a mobile stimulus moved by a perimetry machine. The patient indicates whether he sees the light by pushing a button.

AUTOREFRACTOMETER

An Autorefractor calculates the vision correction a patient needs (refraction) by using sensors that detect the reflections from a cone of infrared light. These reflections are used to determine the size and shape of a ring at the back of the eye.
